The SARDI Gene Expression and Genotyping Facility is equipped with a BioMarkTM real-time PCR system. The BioMarkTM offers significant savings on real-time PCR reagents and eliminates the need for complex and time consuming liquid handling robotic procedures.

Rapid and precise assessments of gene expression levels, single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and copy number variations (CNVs) can be achieved on the BioMarkTM using either 48.48 or 96.96 Dynamic Array chips. The 48.48 chip
performs 2304 PCR assays per run, while the 96.96 chip performs 9216 PCR assays per run.

The facility offers a range of DNA-based services to academic researchers and biotechnology companies.
